$120,000 - $135,000 + 10% bonus
Position Title: Maintenance and Engineering Manager--
Qualifications:
A four-year degree is not required, but relevant education or certifications in maintenance, engineering, or a related field are desirable.
Prior manufacturing experience is required.
Responsibilities: The Maintenance and Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing both plant maintenance and engineering functions within the organization. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.
--Key Duties:--
Maintenance Oversight:
Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure the efficient operation of all plant equipment.
Lead and supervise maintenance teams to perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
Collaborate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
Engineering Responsibilities:
Work closely with the engineering team to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems.
Evaluate and recommend upgrades or modifications to existing equipment to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures in all engineering activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement engineering solutions that align with organizational goals.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and develop maintenance and engineering staff.
Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and innovation within the department.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Promote a proactive approach to problem-solving and encourage continuous learning among the team.
Communication and Reporting:
Regularly update the Plant Manager on the status of maintenance and engineering activities.
Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, project statuses, and resource utilization.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
