Description Develop engineering solutions for refinery equipment
and associated technologies to meet customer requirements. This job
requires the use of engineering judgment, and the application of
standard engineering techniques to develop applications for
customers? use. Focus is on the proper application of production
equipment utilized at the customer site. Responsible for on-site
customer service, assists Sales Representatives in gathering
technical information, maintains databases, generates reports, and
generates customer interest in various John Crane product
Duties & Responsibilities SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
? Provides on-site product identification to Maintenance
? Assist Sales Representative in obtaining mechanical information
for seal/packing recommendations and complete survey database.
? Assist Sales Rep in developing consignment inventory plan.
? May be required to deal with the Maintenance Foreman or Planner
on service calls with, or on behalf of, the Sales
? Maintains reference files and a comprehensive database of seal
surveys, generates MTBR, as well as, productivity and cost savings
reports. Gathers technical information and drawings.
? Generates interest/leads for couplings, lubrication, bearing
isolators, seal water filtration systems.
? Additional duties as assigned.
The Individual ? Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering
preferred or in lieu of a degree, will accept experience
with mechanical seals and pumps..
? Minimum 1 year of experience to include engineering design,
methods, and to obtain sufficient knowledge and background to
assume responsibilities involved.
? Working knowledge of personal computing, CAD (Solid Edge
preferred) and application software.
? Working knowledge of relevant industry standards (API 11AX, API
? Must be hands-on, highly motivated and energetic team player.
? Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, changing
priorities and reassign priorities to
