Plant Manager will be responsible for driving improved performance,
customer relationships, Plant asset utilization, and positive
employee relations. Other responsibilities include but are not
limited to developing and executing the site budget within Company
Manages, plans and schedules daily operations of the Plant.
Oversees all Plant functions, including production, processing,
quality, sanitation, maintenance, purchasing, safety and
Insures the manufacturing and packaging of a safe, quality product
while maintaining a safe and motivated workforce.
Drives Food Safety initiatives at Plant level working with
Operations and Quality Assurance teams.
Provides strong leadership, direction, guidance and support to
leadership team and Plant personnel. Develops positive, motivating
and efficient communication with all employees at all levels.
Maintains a positive employee environment through consistent/fair
practices and leadership in areas such as employee development,
safety and training.
Trouble-shoots and leads problem-solving efforts through the
facilitation of team meetings and on-the-floor leadership to
effectively change systems and procedures through the process of
Monitors and controls Plant costs in comparison to budgetary
Establishes, measure, and tracks production goals by process. Uses
this information to drive the costs down within the department.
Responsible for expense control including, labor and overhead
Leads, facilitates and supports the Plant's safety process to
insure a behavioral-based safe, hazard-free working environment for
Maintains and adheres to Company policies and procedures in the
areas of Human Resources, Employee Safety, Food Safety Quality
Assurance and Quality Control.
Complies with all regulatory agency requirements concerning food,
environmental and employee safety.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience preferred.
At least 5 years of management experience in dairy and/or cheese
manufacturing or processing required.
Must be familiar with dairy and cheese processing equipment and CIP
systems for such.
Experienced in HACCP programs and verification and in GMP's, State
and Federal food safety regulations.
Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, planning and
executing, and problem-solving skills.
