As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital, you will provide cardiopulmonary diagnostic and respiratory therapeutic support for patients inpatients and outpatients that require cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, respiratory treatment, and/or ventilatory support.

Work Schedule: Varied Days and Hours; no call requiredResponsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily evaluation of respiratory care patients, the provision of routine and entry level critical care respiratory care procedures, and patient explanation and education.
  • Ensures the development, implementation, and maintenance of department policies and procedures.
  • Ensures departmental participation in the Hospital Quality Improvement Program.
  • Maintains respiratory therapy equipment.
  • Performs EKGs, holter monitoring, home sleep, and PFT testing as prescribed by physicians.
  • Coordinates and implements continuing education inservices for nursing staff to maintain competency in performance of respiratory care procedures.Qualifications:Experience: One to three years experience in respiratory care

    Education: Associate Degree

    Education specialization: Respiratory Therapy

    Credentials: NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist
    Licensure: Current New Mexico licensure as Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner required.
    Competencies and skills: BLS, ACLS
