latest technology and equipment. Responsibilities The In-House
Traveler CST is responsible to participate in a diverse range of
high-end clinical practices performing all Certified Surgical Tech
procedures in an acute care setting. These include the flexibility
to work various days and including call. The successful candidate
will be: Committing to an 8 or 12 consecutive week assignment
Scheduled for a minimum of 40 hours per week or 80 hours per pay
period, subject to working weekends during the commitment period
(where applicable) Complying with on-call requirements and shifts
(where applicable) Complete hospital/CST/computer orientation and
credentialing with minimal unit orientation as needed Required to
work holidays during their agreement period Expected to work all
scheduled shifts as assigned unless cancelled by the Staffing
Office, department manager, and/or House Supervisor Expected to
participate in all mandatory education Evaluated by and held
accountable for performance based on the standard hospital job
descriptions for their respective position Expected to comply with
all BSA Health System policies, procedures, and patient care
standards Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Current CST
certification from NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology &
Surgical Assisting) Minimum of 1 year experience (within the last 2
years) as a CST in a hospital setting in the selected area Current
BLS and all other required certifications per guidelines In-House
Travelers acknowledge that this is a temporary employment
assignment and are not eligible for benefits except those mandated
by law. The In-House Traveler is ineligible for all differentials
and critical staffing premiums, including Day of Incentive
(DOI).
