Registered Nurse RN, Critical Care Intensive Care Unit ICU, Full Time, Nights BSA Health System is an extensive hospital system in Amarillo, Texas providing clinical excellence to the Texas Panhandle and the tri-state area. BSA is acclaimed for its superior quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the health status and health needs of their patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with the patients and the interdisciplinary healthcare team members.

  Qualifications
  
  Education/Licensures/Certifications:
  • Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
  • Current license as RN in the State of Texas
  • CPR certified from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
  • ACLS within 6-months of hire requiredQualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    • 1 year RN acute care/hospital experience preferred
    • Previous medical-surgical staff nursing experience desired
    • Assess, plan, evaluates, documents total nursing process
    • Able to manage 2 to 3 critical care patients on and off a ventilator; flex up and down depending on acuity
    • Critical thinking skills
    • Organized, able to prioritize
    • Self-motivated with exceptional follow-through skills
    • Computer skills necessary; EMR Epic documentation
    • Multi-task constantly and tolerate multiple interruptions
    • Clear and effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
    • Compassionate customer service skills
