Responsibilities
For more than 50 years, Northwest Behavioral Health has provided
mental health treatment to individuals from Texas, Oklahoma, New
Mexico, and Colorado. Located on the campus of Northwest Texas
Healthcare System in Amarillo, Texas, we offer behavioral health
treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, seniors and
uniformed service members. Our facility has 6 inpatient units with
106 beds. Additional services we offer include 24 hours a day free
behavioral health assessments, partial hospitalization and
intensive outpatient mental health and substance use programs,
clinic-based psychiatry and therapy services. New service offerings
coming in 2021 include ECT, virtual reality exposure therapy, bio
neurofeedback and CBT-I for insomnia. Our goal is to provide
premier behavioral health services in a compassionate environment
and to enhance the quality of life in the health of people in the

POSITION SUMMARY: Director of Outpatient Clinical Services,
Behavioral Health Services is responsible for the ongoing,
effective operation of the clinical services assigned and for the
ongoing assessment and improvement of the Clinical Services
activities for all Outpatient Programming (both PHP and IOP). The
functions include the provision of appropriate clinical services
delivered to persons who seek such service such as: behavioral
health assessments, therapy services and other behavioral health
services as deemed appropriate. These services are integrated into
the overall functioning of Northwest Texas Healthcare System. The
Director of Outpatient Clinical Services supports an organizational
culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence
standards to all customer groups.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS
REQUIRED:
Education and training in the field of psychology, clinical social
work or other mental health discipline with academic achievement of
at least a Master's degree level in an appropriate field. Licensed
or license eligible in one of the mental health disciplines in the
State of Texas. A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the
provision of mental health services at least two (2) years of which
included supervisory or administrative responsibility. Demonstrable
knowledge of contemporary theory and practice on the management and
treatment of mental disorders. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills. Passes and maintains a conviction free
criminal background check. Conviction defined as the adjudication
of guilt, plea of guilty or nolo contendere, or the assessment of
probation or community supervision for a violation of the Penal
Code.
