Responsibilities ABOUT NORTHWEST PHYSICIANS GROUP Northwest
Physicians Group formed in 2013 with a focus towards population

providers serving patients at numerous primary, specialty, and
urgent care locations in and around Amarillo, Texas. Northwest
Physicians Group is affiliated with Northwest Texas Healthcare

surrounding region. The system provides acute care services
including cardiac, pediatric, women---s, emergency, surgical and
behavioral healthcare. POSITION SUMMARY : Tech-Echo Sonographer (FT
Days) POSITION SUMMARY: The Echo Sonographer is responsible for the
day-to-day operations (patient flow) and efficiency of the Echo
department. The technologist must have knowledge of all areas
within the Echo Department and must utilize the principles of
continuous quality improvement in collaboration with other health
team members. The Echo Sonographer performs ultrasound examinations
according to the currently accepted practices of the ARDMS and
Northwest Texas Healthcare System. The technologist will prepare
technical reports, exam rooms, equipment and supplies for
procedures. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Assists the Cardiologist
and Staff Physicians with tests Demonstrates Echo Sonography skills
needed for all positions Demonstrates good patient care Utilizes
the appropriate leadership skill in supervising students and
providing feedback concerning student performance Demonstrates good
communication and problem-solving skills Is a professional role
model for personnel Provides an environment conducive to safety for
patients, visitors, and employees Assess risks to patient safety
and implements the appropriate precaution Complies with appropriate
and approved standards relating to patients, infection control, and
environmental issues Independence Physician Management (IPM), a

Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training &
Travel Requirements (if applicable): American Registry of
Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Cardiology
Credentialing International (CCI) attempted with 18-24 months of
hire date Current BLS certification from the American Heart
Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain
certification throughout employment. This must be obtained prior to
providing patient care PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Ability
to read, and write in English Ability to communicate to allow
discussions with employees and peers Ability to remain calm under
stress Ability to show organization and leadership Ability to
respond to pages Near-Visual acuity and depth perception to examine
exposed films for detail Ability to evaluate and interpret
information and make independent decisions Bending, lifting (50-75
pounds), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling
