About Plains Regional Medical Center

hospital with 106 licensed beds that serves the eastern New Mexico
and West Texas areas, including Cannon Air Force base. The team at

Summary:
Diagnose and treat cancer in adults using chemotherapy, hormonal
therapy, biological therapy, and targeted therapy. Medical
oncologist works in collaboration with the supportive care team and
may coordinate treatment given by other specialists. Hematology
includes diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders.
Responsibilities:
In alignment with NCCN guidelines, order and oversee diagnostic
testing; prescribe treatment and supportive medications;
collaborate with the care team to include palliative care,
psychology, social work, PT, OT, Speech, dietician, nursing,
research to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Oversee care provided
by Advanced Practice Clinicians, as required by provider licensure.
Participate in process improvement which drives standard of care
across the continuum. Participation in tumor board(s) is
required.
Credentials:
We are seeking a BE/BC Hematology Oncology physician who seeks a
small team environment with the support and resources of an
integrated and dynamic healthcare system. You will partner with our
tenured physician to expand our busy practice.
Established in 2004, our program offers a broad range of services
for cancer patients and treatment options include radiation
therapy, chemotherapy and surgical options. We are currently QOPI
certified and are working toward ACOS certification.
