    Responsibilities For more than 50 years, Northwest Behavioral Health has provided mental health treatment to individuals from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Colorado. Located on the campus of Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, Texas, we offer behavioral health treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, seniors and uniformed service members. Our facility has 6 inpatient units with 106 beds. Additional services we offer include 24 hours a day free behavioral health assessments, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient mental health and substance use programs, clinic-based psychiatry and therapy services. In 2021 additional services added include ECT, virtual reality exposure therapy, bio neurofeedback and CBT-I for insomnia.     • Develops, implements, and evaluates an age-appropriate plan of care utilizing the nursing process, clinical skills, and patient education.
    • Maintains professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources, as needed.
    • Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, families, visitors, and employees.
    • Assess risks to patient safety and implement the appropriate precautions.
    • Complies with appropriate and approved standards, as outlined by the organization and accrediting agencies.

        • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
