The LVN is responsible for providing safe, compassionate and focused nursing care to assigned patients with predictable health care needs, utilizing the principles of continuous quality improvement in collaboration with other health team members.   • Assures provision of care to an assigned patient population, utilizing the principles of Performance Improvement in collaboration with other health team members

Qualifications Education, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:
      • LVN currently licensed by the State of Texas
      • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire and maintain certification throughout employment
      • Minimum of one year experience in hospital setting, prefer 2 years--PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
        • Ability to read, write and converse in English
        • Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors and others
        • Ability to remain calm during stressful situations
        • Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions
        • Bending, crouching, hand/finger dexterity, kneeling,--lifting/carrying (25 lb. minimum), grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing and pulling, stooping, twisting, prolonged standing and/or sitting
        • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks under deadline and short notice requirements
