Responsibilities
For more than 50 years, Northwest Behavioral Health has provided
mental health treatment to individuals from Texas, Oklahoma, New
Mexico, and Colorado. Located on the campus of Northwest Texas
Healthcare System in Amarillo, Texas, we offer behavioral health
treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, seniors and
uniformed service members. - Our facility has 6 inpatient units
with 106 beds. Additional services we offer include 24 hours a day
free behavioral health assessments, partial hospitalization and
intensive outpatient mental health and substance use programs,
clinic-based psychiatry and therapy services. New service offerings
coming in 2021 include ECT, virtual reality exposure therapy, bio
neurofeedback and CBT-I for insomnia. Our goal is to provide

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) practices under the direction or
supervision of the professional registered nurse. The LVN
implements nursing care for assigned patients and assists the RN in
the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing
care. This includes demonstrating competency in strong basic
patient care skills, clerical/courier duties, stocking,
transporting, and performing EKG's, phlebotomy, specific patient
care duties, and other departmental duties as requested. May be
floated as needed treating all diversities. Actively demonstrates a
passion for patient care while demonstrating service recovery if
needed and displays service excellence at all times. Follows
standard of care as defined within scope of Licensed Vocational
Nurse and reflects the American Nurses Association's Code of Ethics
for Nurses and the Nurse Practice Act of 2015. -Benefit

Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS
REQUIRED: -
- Education: High School Graduate or equivalentExperience: 1 - 3
yearsPrefer one year of full time or three years part time
experience in acute/hospital care setting.
Specific Requirements: Current BLS
certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or
within 30 days of hire, and maintain throughout employment.

patient specimens. Exposure to blood, body fluids, non-intact skin
or tissue specimens is possible.
License/Certification: Graduate of an
accredited LVN programCompletion of basic arrhythmia module within
