Job Description:
Physical Therapist Assistant - Acute Care If you are passionate
about helping patients recover from severe conditions, join us as a
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in an acute care setting. In
this role, you will work under the supervision of a physical
therapist to provide rehabilitative care for hospitalized patients
during their recovery process. Key Responsibilities: Assist
physical therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to
patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or severe illnesses.
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises designed to improve
mobility, strength, and balance without overexertion. Provide
hands-on therapy such as stretching or assisted mobility exercises
as prescribed by the physical therapist. Educate patients on using
adaptive equipment like walkers or wheelchairs safely during
recovery. Document patient progress and report updates to the
supervising physical therapist for adjustments in care plans. Work
Environment: The role is based in hospitals or acute care
facilities where PTAs work closely with critically ill patients
requiring intensive rehabilitation support. This position demands
physical stamina as it involves assisting patients with limited
