Job Description:
Job Title: Technologist Profession: Healthcare Specialty:
Computed Tomography (CT) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift
Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in CT;
Competent in X-ray required License: Texas Medical Board (TMB)
License required Certifications: ARRT Certified required Must-Have:
Must live more than 100 miles away. Ability to rotate between two
FEDs and possible two other FEDs that do not perform POC Lab.
Availability to be on call 4-5 days a month. Description:
Technologist will perform CT, X-rays, and Point of Care Lab.
Operate Computed Tomography (CT) and radiographic equipment and
processors. Analyze body habitus to correctly adjust technical
factors and position the body accurately. Review physician orders
and obtain pertinent clinical data to consistently produce
high-quality radiographs. Reduce unnecessary radiation exposure to
patients and self. Assist physicians during procedures, including
room preparation, supplies, and managing contrast reactions and
codes. Ability to schedule and complete exams and enter correct
charge codes. POC Lab training will be provided.
