Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:OR - Operating Room - Discipline:RN - Start Date:07/07/2025 - Duration:13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift:8 hours, days - Employment Type:Travel Job Title: RN – Operating Room (OR Nurse) Location: Amarillo, TX 79106 Shift Type: 8-Hour Mid Shift (Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM) Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Weekly Breakdown: Weekly Gross: $2,886.00 Per Week On W2(Taxable): $1,640.00 Per Week Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,246.00 Per Week Job Summary:The Operating Room Nurse will be responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating during surgical procedures and managing admissions to the operative suite. This role involves strict adherence to aseptic techniques, effective communication within the surgical team, and thorough preparation of surgical environments to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Perform scrubbing and circulating duties during surgical procedures Prepare the operating room including setup of equipment and supplies Ensure equipment functionality and availability of required implants Maintain compliance with aseptic standards and hospital protocols Coordinate patient care during surgery by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans Act as a liaison with patients, families, and surgical team members Manage and document intraoperative events and nursing interventions Education:Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved Registered Nurse program (Required) Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required Experience: Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience – Required Prior trauma OR experience – Required Licensure: Valid RN license to practice in the state of Texas – Required Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Other Details: Must reside at least 100 miles outside of Amarillo, TX About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as aService-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified byNaVOBAand theU.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
