service, and dignity. Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT:
Responsibilities Works in an entry-level position providing basic
patient care under nursing supervision. Assists patients with daily
activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
Observed patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to
Registered nurses. Obtain and record patients' vital signs and
collect specimens for lab tests. Provides basic patient transport
and housekeeping duties Qualifications Job Requirements: Must have
completed some high school education. Basic Life Support through
the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days
of hire. Preferred Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
Equivalency Completion of High School PCT competencies
Certification as a PCT (Certified Care Technician) or CNA
(Certified Nursing Assistant) Demonstrated competency in
Phlebotomy
