Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Amarillo, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,338 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Amarillo, Texas, 79106! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 hours (1:00 PM - 1:30 AM) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Emergency Room nursing License: Current RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Experience with Epic charting system required Ability to float to units of equal or lesser acuity COVID-19 and flu vaccination status unknown Description: Shift options available: 3x12 or 4x12. Experience in a fast-paced emergency room environment is required. Travel experience is not required. Previous charge experience is preferred. Knowledge of patient management, including dysrhythmias, central line care, and care of ventilated patients is essential. Understanding of isolation precautions and triage is important. Unit supports interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Daily census is approximately 165 patients with 49 rooms and 49 beds available. Patients of all age groups are treated, from adolescents to geriatrics. All rooms are monitored with electronic medical records accessible in each room. Diagnostic services such as respiratory therapy, CT, and X-ray are available within the department. A free-floating charge nurse supports the unit. No more than three requests for time off will be auto-approved. There is no time off allowed on holidays. Minimum of two years of experience required for applicants.
