Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Amarillo, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,208 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS*, NIHSS* Must-Have: Epic experience required Experience with patient ratios of 5-6 Description: This unit cares for a mix of medical/surgical and intermediate care patients. The nurse-to-patient ratios will range from 1:4 to 1:6, depending on the patient assignment each shift. Shift options are 36 or 48 hours, with days primarily scheduled. Travel experience is not required, but previous charge experience is preferred. Required skills include managing medical/surgical care, use of rapid response/code teams, and peripheral line care/management. Additional skills include care for various medical conditions such as post-operative management, wound care, telemetry, and IV insulin protocols. The unit utilizes interdisciplinary support from various teams, including therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Patients typically include adults and geriatric populations. This role requires adaptability to various patient diagnoses and treatment procedures. The nurse will participate in continuous monitoring, patient management, and collaborating with supportive services.
