working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Amarillo,
Texas, 79106! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License:
Nursing License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Must-Have: Experience with Epic EMR required. Description: This
unit serves a combination of medical/surgical and intermediate care
patients. The nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:6,
depending on patient assignments each shift. Charge experience is
preferred. Travel experience is required. Telemetry experience,
including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, is
necessary. Skills in the use of rapid response/code teams and blood
product administration are essential. Experience with central and
peripheral line care/management is required. Applicants should be
able to manage cardiac drips (without titration) and administer
oxygen via nasal cannula. Non-invasive airway management knowledge
is also needed. Isolation precautions and understanding of PPE
protocols are mandatory. Interdisciplinary support includes
physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services,
phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams,
pharmacy, and transportation. The unit has a daily census of
approximately 12-14 patients. Key patient ratios for day and night
shifts are 5:1. Travelers must live at least 50 miles from the
facility. No more than 3 RTO days will be automatically approved,
and there are no RTOs on holidays. Travel pairs or groups are not
permitted. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience are
preferred. Former permanent staff must have been gone for 1 year
