Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Nursing Staffing Coordinator to join our team, committed to providing the highest quality care through comprehensive post-acute services, including home health, inpatient rehabilitation, and hospice care. In this vital role, the coordinator will manage the scheduling and placement of nursing staff across multiple departments to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient outcomes. This position requires an individual who is highly organized, communicative, and capable of proactive problem-solving in a dynamic healthcare environment. Developing and maintaining staffing schedules for all nursing personnel within the facility. Collaborating with department heads to assess staffing needs and adjust plans as required. Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory staffing requirements. Facilitating the orientation and training scheduling for new nursing hires. Managing temporary staffing solutions during peak periods or staff shortages. Monitoring staff attendance and punctuality, addressing issues as they arise. Maintaining clear and accurate staffing records and reports for administrative and regulatory purposes. Proficiency in staffing software and MS Office. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations related to staffing. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is advantageous.
