Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Rehab Therapy Tech to
join our team, supporting post-acute services that help patients
recover from serious illness or injury. In this role, you will work
closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to
provide hands-on assistance and support to our patients during
their rehabilitation sessions. Our ideal candidate is
compassionate, detail-oriented, and has a strong desire to
facilitate the healing and recovery process in an inpatient
rehabilitation setting. Assist physical, occupational, and speech
therapists in the preparation and execution of therapy sessions.
Set up and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas. Guide
patients during therapeutic activities under the supervision of a
licensed therapist. Document patient responses and progress, and
report this information to the therapy team. Maintain a clean and
organized work environment adhering to safety and health
regulations. Support patients emotionally and physically throughout
the recovery process. Ability to follow detailed instructions and
protocols related to patient care. Strong communication and
interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and
healthcare staff. Basic knowledge of therapy procedures and
equipment. Capability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting or
supporting patients. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k CPR certification required. Certification as a
Therapy Assistant or related field is preferred but not
required.
