Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team, providing high-quality care in home health, inpatient rehabilitation, and hospice settings. As a pivotal member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in managing patient care, overseeing treatment plans and supporting patients and their families in navigating the challenging paths of serious illnesses or injuries. This position requires a compassionate professional committed to delivering exceptional patient care and contributing positively to the recovery and comfort of our patients. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Perform diagnostic tests and analyze results. Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. Instruct and educate patients and families on treatment regimes, condition management and prevention strategies. Supervise and guide nursing assistants and other junior staff. Maintain a collaborative relationship with team members to ensure optimal patient care. Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in handling medical equipment and software. Capability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. Empathy and resilience in dealing with patients suffering from severe illnesses or injuries. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on department needs.
