Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Rehab Therapy Tech to join our dynamic team, providing crucial support in our rehabilitation services. This role is pivotal in assisting patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, helping them regain their functionalities and improve their quality of life. The Rehab Therapy Tech will work closely with licensed therapists to administer therapeutic treatments and exercises, maintain equipment, and support the day-to-day operations of our rehabilitation facilities. Assist therapists in the delivery of rehabilitation services and therapeutic interventions. Prepare, clean, and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas. Perform administrative tasks, such as updating patient records and scheduling appointments. Support patients physically during therapy sessions as instructed by the therapist. Monitor patient responses to treatments and communicate significant issues to the therapist. Educate patients and families about treatment plans and maintenance exercises. Strong understanding of therapy principles and practices. Proficient in using therapy equipment and devices. Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and supporting patients. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Basic knowledge of healthcare safety and hygiene standards. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant or similar can be an advantage.
