Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Rehab Therapy Tech to
join our team, assisting with the provision of rehabilitative
services to patients overcoming serious illnesses or injuries. This
role is pivotal in helping patients achieve their maximum
functional capacity through therapy sessions designed to improve
mobility, strength, and coordination. Rehab Therapy Techs work
under the guidance of licensed therapists and assist with the
set-up and management of equipment and therapy areas, ensuring
optimal care delivery in a safe and supportive environment. Assist
physical, occupational, and speech therapists in the preparation
and execution of therapy sessions. Prepare therapy materials and
equipment before sessions and ensure their proper storage after
use. Monitor and record patients' progress, reporting any relevant
information to the supervising therapist. Maintain cleanliness and
organization of therapy areas to comply with safety and health
regulations. Support patients in carrying out specific exercises as
prescribed by the therapist. Educate patients and families about
therapy procedures and equipment use as needed. Basic knowledge of
therapy principles and practices. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Physical stamina and dexterity. Competence in handling therapy
equipment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k
CPR certification Certified Rehabilitation Technician (optional but
beneficial)
