Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Rehab Therapy Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team, specialized in providing crucial support in our state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility. The ideal candidate will assist in the rehabilitation process of patients recovering from serious injuries or illnesses. The role demands a compassionate individual keen on facilitating therapeutic exercises, managing therapy equipment, and ensuring a clean, functional treatment environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to play a significant role in patient recovery and to work closely with therapists in implementing treatment plans. Assist physical therapists in the preparation and execution of treatment plans. Set up and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas. Monitor patient responses to therapy and provide updates to the supervising therapist. Engage with patients to facilitate positive health outcomes and rehabilitation. Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines to maintain patient and staff safety. Manage documentation of patient progress and therapy sessions. Proactive communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle physical demands of the job including lifting and maneuvering patients. Basic knowledge of healthcare safety protocols and infection control. Technical ability to operate and troubleshoot therapy equipment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k CPR certification is strongly preferred. Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant or a similar field is advantageous but not required.
