Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Rehab Therapy Tech to join our team, dedicated to assisting patients regain their independence after serious illness or injury. This role is pivotal in supporting our therapists and ensuring the effective delivery of rehabilitation services in our patient-centric, compassionate environment. The position demands an empathetic and detailed-oriented individual enthusiastic about aiding recovery and improving patients' lives through direct support in therapeutic activities and operations. Assist therapists in the preparation and execution of rehabilitation sessions. Set up and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas. Conduct routine checks to ensure all equipment function properly. Engage with patients, providing support and assistance during therapy. Document patient responses and progress towards recovery. Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene protocols. Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment planning. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including moving or lifting patients and equipment. Basic understanding of therapy principles and practices. Proficiency in using medical software for documentation. Detail-oriented with a keen observation for patient needs and therapy effectiveness. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k CPR and First Aid certification desirable. Completion of a state-approved training program in rehabilitation or related field is a plus.
