The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical-Surgical Unit provides direct and individualized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective outcomes. Responsibilities include medication administration, patient education, monitoring vital signs, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and responding to emergencies.
