Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro Location: Amarillo, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,633 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic experience required within the last 6 months Description: This position is for a Medical/Surgical - Neuro Unit. The unit caters to orthopedic and neurological patient populations. Telemetry is monitored in a centralized unit. There are a total of 35 beds on this unit. Patient care technicians and patient transporters are available to assist nurses. A floating charge nurse is also present for added support. House discharge nurses float across all departments to enhance patient care. Staffing involves 1:6 patient ratios. This role requires floating to other units of equal or lesser acuity. Assistance with acquiring NIHSS certification is provided. Free meals are available on-site. Local hotels offer discounts for staff. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. This unit also has access to rapid response teams. The unit serves adult and geriatric patient age groups. Daily census is approximately 30 patients. No discrimination is tolerated in this workplace.
