Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Amarillo, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,822 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Amarillo, Texas, 79106! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic experience required Telemetry experience Charge experience preferred Description: This unit cares for a mix of medical/surgical and intermediate care patients. Nurse-to-patient ratios will range from 1:4 to 1:6, depending on patient assignment each shift. The position offers a 36 or 48 hour work week with a night shift. Prior experience in a similar setting is preferred. Travel experience is required. The facility utilizes the Epic charting system. Successful candidates must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively. Responsibilities include administering blood products and managing central and peripheral lines. Nurses will provide care for patients on cardiac drips without titration. Oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management are also part of the role. Nurses will adhere to isolation precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as necessary. Interdisciplinary support is provided by physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. A daily patient census typically ranges from 12 to 14.
