Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Nursing Staffing
Coordinator to join our team, focused on providing top-tier
staffing solutions across our home health, inpatient
rehabilitation, and hospice care divisions. This role is pivotal in
ensuring that our staffing levels are maintained and optimized to
meet the demands of our patients who are recovering from serious
illnesses or injuries. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic
environment, possess a strong grasp of healthcare staffing needs,
and be committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere for our
healthcare professionals. Develop and implement staffing schedules
and rotations for nurses across multiple departments and
facilities. Coordinate with department managers to forecast
staffing needs and address shortages. Monitor staff compliance with
required certifications and ongoing training. Assist in the
recruitment and hiring process of nursing staff. Maintain clear and
organized staffing records. Resolve staffing discrepancies and
handle last-minute changes to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
Collaborate with HR to manage staffing related issues including
leave, compensation, and disciplinary actions. Proficient in
staffing software and tools Strong organizational and multitasking
skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to
work flexibly and respond to dynamic needs Knowledge of healthcare
regulations and staffing requirements Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certification in Healthcare
Staffing Professional (CHSP) preferred Familiarity with healthcare
compliance and labor laws
