Job Description:

Summary : The primary role of the Video Teller position is to provide support by answering incoming calls, chats, and process customer transactions received via Virtual Banking. Will provide service and support and may require customer follow up for accounts opened online and cross-sells for new or underutilized products and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions to be processed;
  • Assists customers via webcam as needed with deposits, withdrawals, transfer funds and other transactions;
  • Verifies transactions, detects and resolves discrepancies promptly;
  • Presents and explains bank services and products to customers and assists in meeting their financial needs;
  • Answers questions and solves problems for customers by listening to problems, collecting data, securing answers, and reporting results to the inquiring party;
  • Maintains privacy of customer account information;
  • Develops relationships with customers that use the Interactive Teller Machines (ITM) and make product and service recommendations that fit into their lifestyle.
  • Takes complete ownership of every interaction whether it requires a call back, extended research, or assistance from other departments;
  • Resolves customer issues or complaints by demonstrating complete knowledge of bank processes and procedures while being empowered to make decisions that are in the best interest of the customer and/or the bank;
  • Continues to improve in individual level of competency through training and development on established educational programs;
  • Performs file maintenance and account changes as needed; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must have analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills; without specific instruction;

  • Must be able to complete daily transactions with limited supervision;
  • Must be able to handle frequent interruptions;
  • Must have basic computer skills with the ability to handle extensive data entry in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Must be able to take complete ownership of the customer's needs;
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively with a team to meet program goals;
  • Must have or be able to complete the new account training program offered by the Bank; and
  • Must be able to pass background and credit screening process.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required;
  • One to three (1-3) years' experience in a financial institution, preferred; and
  • Bilingual is preferred.
