actively searching for a Surgical Services Nursing Manager to
oversee an extensive and busy OR (Operating Room) Service Line.

Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, the
Surgical Services Nursing Manager will be responsible for the
day-to-day operations, and to a growing degree, the strategic
direction of the Operating Room. With over 10 Operating and
Procedure Rooms, this community medical center is set up to handle
nearly any kind of procedure, from Cardiac and Thoracic to Neuro
and Podiatry – this group of outstanding nurses does it all.
Performing over 1500 procedures per month, the Surgical
Services Nursing Manager will work with a tenured staff of service
leaders and dedicated staff of RNs to keep the Operating Room
running smoothly. Among the administrative duties you’ll have, are
the usual suspects of taking oversight of Operating Room budget
development and control, staff scheduling and evaluation, and
sitting on the important performance councils that keep this
hospital among the top performers in Arizona.
From a clinical point of view, you will serve as a subject
matter expert for nursing performance improvement, skills
development, and evidence-based practice education. The Surgical
Services Nursing Manager will guide, coach, and mentor the various
perioperative staff. You’ll work alongside a CPAN Nurse Manager
that oversees the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU/Recovery), a
Cardiovascular Services Manager, and RN Nurse Leaders that
specialize in Minimally Invasive Robotic Procedures and Endoscopy.
Supporting you in this expansive role are two CNOR Nurse
Supervisors, three experienced Charge RNs and a Perioperative
