National Sales Excellence Specialist (Virtual position)

The purpose of the National Sales Excellence team is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes impacting National Sales (NS) staff and customers including touch points with cross-functional partners. National Sales is responsible for 50% of the company’s annual revenues (~$12B) and has 1,200 core employees in 70 Markets, 4 Regions and Corporate office. The NS team supports cross-functional teams embedded in multiple functions including: Merchandising-NS Team, Credit-NS Team, Shared Business Services-NS Customer Operations Team, Revenue Management-NS Contract/Market Basket Team, and the Insights & Analytics-NS Sales Analyst Team.

The National Sales Excellence Specialist independently oversees and/or supports day-to-day management of excellence projects through identifying and recommending opportunities and aligning on wiring between National Sales and supporting functions.

This position is Virtual and can be located anywhere in the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Customer Rebates

  • Identify standardization opportunities across National Sales programs. 

  • Independently manage National Sales rebate programs for the field from actual set up through payment to customers.   

  • Evaluate customer rebate performance versus projected performance achievement and recommend course corrections as appropriate.  

  • Align with SBS & Field to implement any changes to programs. 


Seller Routes

  • Independently manage Corporate seller route maintenance for Center Managed accounts to include aligning with S&S Directors/CAEs for proper seller assignments.

  • Research and align with Field/SBS to correct seller route errors, i.e. no name on account etc., utilizing SOUS, Merlin and Tandem. 


Customer Maintenance

  • Audit Customer data integrity on a regular basis to include pyramid segment, market segment, menu data, CBS identifier flag and TM Type.

  • Align with markets on changes/corrections to National Sales customer tiers to support transportation/customer delivery windows and sizing methodology, etc.


Sizing Tools

  • Scrutinize data used for headcount adjustments confirming optimal headcount to sustain consistent customer coverage.  

  • Perform monthly data audits supporting capacity sizing tools.   


Employee Incentives

  • Audit incentive calculations for accuracy including but not limited to…ABDM bonus…ABDM incentive…AE compensation (base, bonus, POF).

  • Align with HR, Compensation & Finance to implement any recommended changes.


Support National Sales as directed by National Sales Excellence Director including leading calls, training, supporting onboarding of new associates in National Sales areas.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training:
•    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
•    3+ years demonstrated successful experience in analytical roles in data analysis and data reporting required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
•    Able to take complex, ambiguous problems, break them down into smaller parts, and problem solve to come up with a whole, integrated, and strategic solution
•    Strong cross-functional business acumen and expertise
•    Excellent data manipulation and analysis skills
•    High attention to detail
•    Ability to think logically and analytically 
•    Creative problem solver
•    Advanced Microsoft Office required (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required
•    Proficiency, active development, knowledge of, or application for at least three of the following required: Tableau, Merlin Ad Hoc, Snowflake, Salesforce Reporting, Discoverer required

TRAVEL
Overnight travel may be required to participate in trainings, meetings, or other company events
