Amarillo - SHIFT: - Monday–Friday, some Saturdays Flexible;
typically, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM - REPORTS TO: - Software
Development Manager SummaryThe position of Applications Architect
specializes in the design, development, and implementation of
specialized applications for the business. This role will also be
responsible for leading on projects as well as mentoring other
developers. Essential DutiesReasonable accommodations may be made

functions.· Specialize in the design, development, and
implementation of specialized applications for business
organizations.· Reviewing current system security measures and
recommending and implementing enhancements.· Conducting regular
system tests and ensuring continuous monitoring of network
security.· Developing project timelines for ongoing system
upgrades.· Establishing disaster recovery procedures and conducting
breach of security drills.· Promptly responding to all security
incidents and providing thorough post-event analyses.· As a senior
member of the IT team, a Security Architect job description should
also include cultivating a culture of security awareness and
arranging continuing education of personnel to ensure security
policies are adhered to at all times.· Manages multiple
applications used by the organization to ensure a scalable,
reliable, and available architectural system.· Develop user-focused
applications which interact effectively with one another and with
the end user.· Provide technical support and mentoring to Financial
Payments and its programming team.· Conduct analysis to identify
trends in application architecture and apply them in applications
development.· Asses the interaction/interface between applications,
databases, and middleware systems to identify and address
problems/gaps in functional coverage.· Upgrade the existing
architectural applications/software life cycle to ensure an
improved/efficient system.· Make recommendations to organizations
on suitable technical resources and development strategies.·
Delegate programming and development tasks to company technical
staff.· Provide guidelines on the use and maintenance of an
architectural system to ensure sustained efficiency and
performance.· Collaboration with the development and technical team
to implement software solutions that meet the architectural goals
and standards of the organization.· Responsible for conducting
applications analysis to identify and resolve operational
limitations in application interactions.· Carry out design and
source code reviews to ensure conformance to set application
standards.· Participate in educational programs, seminars, and
workshops to update knowledge of application architecture and
development techniques.· Must be organized, self-motivated and a
team player.· Answer telephones, answers questions and direct
callers to proper Bank personnel.· Ability to operate a personal
computer.· Foster teamwork in the branch or department to ensure a
positive overall customer experience and positive work
environment.· Punctuality and good attendance are imperative
Minimum RequirementsThese specifications are general guidelines
based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to
the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements

ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner.
Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these
guidelines. Must be able to pass a background and Credit check.·
High School Diploma with 11+ years of experience in an
object-oriented software development role, required; Bachelor's
Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related
field with 6+ years of experience in the field preferred.·
Extensive experience in software development and programming is
also required. Primary qualities required are problem-solving,
strong analytical skills, and skills in software application design
and implementation. · In-depth knowledge of Ruby, Java, Javascript.
Knowledge of mobile development, Node.js and React Native a plus. ·
Must be organized, self-motivated and a team player.· Excellent SQL
skills (MySQL and MS SQL). · Ability to work within sprint\project
planning system such as JIRA.· Strong Microsoft Office skills. ·
Complete in-house training based on requirements set up for this
position.· Proven ability to provide an Excellent Customer
Experience.· Excellent skills in computer terminal and personal
computer operation; word processing and spreadsheet software.·
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with
the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and
instruct others, interpret documents, understand procedures, write
reports and correspondence, speak clearly to customers and
employees.· Effective Time management skills.· Ability to maintain
confidentiality at all times.· Ability to work with minimal
supervision while performing duties.· Ability to deal with routine
problems involving multiple facets and variables.· Must follow
company policies, all state and federal laws, as well as
regulations and guidelines· Current driver's license and a vehicle
with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the
course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities. The
incumbent must be able to perform this position safely, without
endangering the health or safety to themselves or others. Secondary
DutiesThe position of Applications Architect performs duties
specific to the position and other functions as assigned.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThe position of Applications Architect
has no supervisory responsibility. Environment and Physical
ActivityThe environment for this position is an open office that is
mostly clean and comfortable and includes driving a Bank or
personal-owned vehicle approximately 5% of the time which includes
exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical
parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors,
drafts, etc. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting
in which he or she is free to move about at will. The incumbent in
the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing,
speaking, listening, lifting (up to 10 pounds), carrying, seeing
(such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and
adjusted focus), driving, sitting, pulling, walking, standing,
squatting, kneeling and reaching. The incumbent for this position
may operate any or all of the following: telephone, copy and fax
machines, adding machine (calculator), computer terminal, personal
computer and related printers Mental DemandsThe incumbent in this
position must be able to accommodate to reading documents or
instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact,
reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written
communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent
