identity management system (IDENT) and the Office of Biometric
Identity Management (OBIM) to store, match, share, and analyze
biometric and biographic data in support of DHS's strategic
mission. GDIT's O&M services support break-fix of current OBIM
functional capabilities, as well as security remediation activities
and developmental engineering (such as prototyping new code or
configurations of OBIM functionality). At the most critical moments

GDIT is looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to support the
program's Engineering & Design Team. The primary responsibility of
the Enterprise Architect is to provide architectural guidance (both
business and technical) to managers, technical staff, and the
client, and to lead the way in the architecture, design, and
transition to implementation of new solutions for the client's
production and non-production environments. This role will also be
responsible for managing small- to medium-sized solutioning and
engineering efforts to successful transition. Specific
responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain architectural products and deliverables for
the enterprise and operational business lines
Stay abreast of IT technologies and identity management
capabilities, and brief new products/technologies that may enhance
operations and/or reduce operating costs
Investigate, evaluate, and recommend promising technologies and
other potential improvements to value streams, including to system
reliability, maintainability, availability, and recoverability
and/or to processes, procedures, staff, material, and information
required to support, maintain, and operate client applications,
databases, operating systems, and infrastructure
Advise and assist client in forming and maturing details for new
developmental engineering or technology implementation projects
Advise on technology procurements, with regards to processing, data
storage, data access, and applications
Recommend assets for decommissioning
Required Skills / Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final
Suitability
BA/BS or equivalent and 10+ years of experience
Skills / Qualifications:
15+ years of relevant experience
Master's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or
information systems field of study
Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking,
and SAN technologies
Understanding of technologies employed in IDENT and/or the Homeland
Advanced Recognition Technology System (HART)
Strong experience in IT requirements gathering, scope definition,
analysis, design, and solutioning
Demonstrated ability to design cloud infrastructure, relational
database services, auto-scaling, and computing resources
Understanding of microservices, containerization, and CI/CD
pipeline concepts
Experience with OpenShift, Docker, Aurora (Amazon), and Jenkins
Experience creating/editing logical network, physical network, and
rack elevation diagrams
Experience working with datacenters and datacenter process and
procedures
Experience with NetBrain and Microsoft Visio
Certifications: AWS Solution Architect, ITIL v3/v4 Foundation (or
higher), SAFe (SA, SPC, or ARCH)
