careeradvancementJobresponsibilities: The lead sex offender
treatmentprovider is responsible for providing individual and
groupcounseling specific to the Sex Offender Treatment Program
(SOTP) incompliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC)
andTexas Civil Commitment Office
(TCCO)directives.Essentialfunctions:Maintain core beliefs that
peoplecan change and have an inherent drive towards
positivegrowth.Provides advanced administrative and supervisory
workfor the SOTP, which provides a full complement of individual
andgroup treatment services to the clients residing at
thefacility.Oversee use of the Good Lives Model (GLM)
andRisk-Needs-Responsivity Model (RNR) as underlying theoretical
basisfor sex offender treatment. Individual Treatment Plans will
includegoals and objectives, assessments, treatment progress
andaccomplishments.Manage initial and ongoing assessments using
approvedassessment tools to include STABLE, ACUTE, psychological
tests,clinical interviews and other techniques designed to
definetreatment goals and strategies for clients. MTC will
providetraining regarding approved assessmenttools.Identify and
outline areas which warrant attention andoutline measurable and
understandable goals in order to helpclients learn to reduce
deviant behavior and managerisk.Ability to use operant
conditioning, behaviormanagement techniques, including the
identification of targetbehaviors and the application of
reinforcers andinterventions.Understand current research on sex
offender treatmentand how it is applied. Understand and use
techniquesto increase motivation for change
(e.g.-MotivationalInterviewing). MTC will provide Motivational
Interviewingtraining.Provide direct treatment services to
includeindividual, group, and family counseling to clients and
theirfamilies as needed.Review and integrate assessmentinformation
to write and monitor individualized treatmentplans.Coordinate
referral of clients to appropriate internaltreatment groups and
activities.Monitor and review ongoingtreatment or other needs.
Regularly evaluate client progress bycompleting monthly, biennial,
and treatment progressreports.Maintain and monitor confidentiality
of clients andtheir files; audit files to determine that all
services providedare documented; observe applicable HIPAAlaws.As
required, maintain MTC data system and TCCO casemanagement
automated system.Coordinate with mental healthcontractor regarding
continuity ofcare.Understand and comply with the rules
ofCSOT.Attend and actively participate in staff meetings,treatment
team meetings, case conferences, case presentations,staff
development meetings and trainingactivities.Testify in court and
other hearings as needed; respondto all subpoenas.Promote the
development of positive social skillsthrough modeling appropriate
behaviors and intervening wheninappropriate behaviors are observed;
provide regular feedback tostaff regarding social skills procedures
and interventiontechniques.Approve clinicalschedule.Assist in the
development and implementation of new andrevised policies and
procedures affecting treatment andprogramming.Maintain
accountability of staff, clients and property;adhere to safety
practices.It is expected that the incumbentshall perform other
duties as assigned within his/her capabilitiesas determined by
management.Minimumrequirements:Master's degree in counseling,social
work, psychology, or related field from an accreditedcollege or
university required.Must be a LicensedSex Offender Treatment
Provider (LSOTP) asprescribed by the Council on Sex Offender
Treatment pursuant to therequirement set forth in Texas
Administrative Code, Title 22,Chapter 810.Clinical treatment
experience with focus on groupfacilitation required.If currently a
Texas resident, avalid driver license in the state of Texas with an
acceptabledriving record is required, unless waived by management.
Out ofstate residents must be able to acquire a Texas driver
licensewithin 90 days of moving to the state of
Texas.Post-hirerequirements:Upon hire, an applicant
mustsuccessfully complete the required pre-service and annual
trainingrequirements.Must maintain TCCO security clearance and
