Duties and responsibilities for Registered Nurse, Float Pool include, but are not limited to the following: Initial admission assessment is completed and documentedPerforms & documents ongoing thorough assessments with reassessments as neededDocuments vital signs, l, flu ids and medication infusions in EMREstablishes and documents care plan relevant to admitting diagnosis and nursing assessments . Re-evaluates care plans as patient condition changesNotifies physicians in a timely manner of patient condition changesAssesses and identifies normal versus abnormal neurological findings based on patient history and diagnosisAssesses and documents signs of ETOH and drug withdrawalAssesses and documents increased signs of confusion, agitation, and unsafe behaviorDistinguish normal versus adventitious breath sounds based on patient admitting diagnosis andhistoryPerforms ongoing pulmonary assessments; Notifying provider as necessary and intervening when appropriateRecognizes and responds to impaired air wayManages and provides care for patient on non-invasive support (Cpap/BiPap) for chronic pulmonary conditionsProvides care for & management of patient with chest tubesRecognizes normal versus abnormal cardiovascular findings based on patient admitting diagnosis and historyPerforms 12-Lead ECG with correct lead placement.
