Summary/Description: This video journalist is an entry-level, yet
critical part of the Newsroom. This position is responsible for
conducting interviews in the field with community members, shooting
videos of various events, and then creating content for broadcast
and digital platforms. Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not
limited to: A Video Journalist works in the field to create content
for broadcast and digital platforms daily. Video Journalists will
shoot, write and edit content as assigned. Ideal candidates are
ambitious, detail-oriented, organized, able to work independently,
and can complete multiple tasks while meeting several deadlines.
Candidates should possess strong writing and communication skills
and work well in a team environment. Qualifications/Requirements:
Must be comfortable with video cameras and editing equipment. Must
work well under tight deadlines. Ability to communicate clearly
with others and work interdependently. Must be flexible with work
schedules and be prepared to adapt to changing news landscapes.
