Duties/Responsibilities:Responsible for acute care case manager
management activities, insurance reviews, transfers, strong
knowledge base of DRGs and appropriate admission status. Also
demonstrates leadership skills, problem solving skills, and
collaborative skills to work with other healthcare teams, including
utilization management activities and promotion of high-quality
cost effective care in a collaborative manner. Evaluates admissions
and hospital's resource utilization for appropriateness and
timeliness. Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team to
assess or coordinate patient and education needs. Completes all
insurance reviews, coordinates multidisciplinary team meetings, and

Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS
REQUIREDGraduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN programMust
successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s).BLS (or obtained
during orientation) and maintain certification throughout
employmentCurrent state nursing license or permit to practice
nursing in the State of Texas.De-escalation training within 90 days
