Responsibilities
For more than 50 years, Northwest Behavioral Health has provided
mental health treatment to individuals from Texas, Oklahoma, New
Mexico, and Colorado. Located on the campus of Northwest Texas
Healthcare System in Amarillo, Texas, we offer behavioral health
treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, seniors and
uniformed service members. - Our facility has 6 inpatient units
with 106 beds. Additional services we offer include 24 hours a day
free behavioral health assessments, partial hospitalization and
intensive outpatient mental health and substance use programs,
clinic-based psychiatry and therapy services. New service offerings
coming in 2021 include ECT, virtual reality exposure therapy, bio
neurofeedback and CBT-I for insomnia. Our goal is to provide

providers! -Visit us online at: -PRIMARY FUNCTION: - The Intake
Worker/Coord is responsible for screening the calls coming into the
Pavilion Access Line. They provide patients and other referral
sources information and instruction on the assessment and admission
process. They are responsible for the secretarial, clerical and
receptionist functions related to the duties of the Pavilion Intake
and Assessment Department. This position is also responsible for
providing support to the other team members of the behavioral
health services and their secretaries in collaborative effort and
is responsible for special projects and other assignments as
directed. - -Answers the Access Line at the Pavilion and provides
information and instruction to persons needing assessment or
admission to the Pavilion. Collects information from patient and
other sources and screens calls for appropriateness for assessment.
Communicates appropriate referral options to patient and /or family
about services available in the Panhandle Area. -Benefit

Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS
REQUIRED: -High school education or GED. Experience in Behavioral
Healthcare field preferred. Experience in answering a multi-line
phone. Ability to type 25 words per minute. Experience working with
personal computer and various software programs including Microsoft
Office and Excel. Reviews HWC or similar training at least
