Responsibilities

Job Summary : This position is responsible for assisting the CT staff in obtaining high quality CT studies. Will be responsible for daily QC on equipment. Must adhere to Diagnostic Imaging polices and procedures. High Accountability for patient safety. Must flex to accommodate volumes. The DI Student Aide assists the Radiologic Technologists with various patient care and departmental process needs. Assists technologist with specified CT positioning and patient care needs in accordance with recommended radiation safety practices and adhere to Diagnostic Imaging Student Aide guidelines and requirements. Student aide will prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications. The student aide will be expected to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, physicians, and intra- and inter-departmentally situations. Additional responsibilities as designated by Diagnostic Imaging leadership team.
Qualifications

Education/Certifications/Licensures:

• CPR -issued by American Heart Association required
• Current Basic Life Support Certification preferred
• Actively Enrolled in 2nd year Radiography Program in preparation for ARRT registry Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :
  • Schedule must be flexible
  • Must be able to start IV's effectively and consistently.
  • Position requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately
  • Must exhibit desire to exemplify the BSA culture, including the BSA Mission, Vision and the BSA Way
  • Must consistently provide safe patient care and excellent customer service to all patient populations.
  • Must possess excellent critical thinking skills along with the ability to work in a high volume and fast paced environment.
