PersonnelSUMMARY:Remediation Technicians work closely with
environmental engineers and scientists. Uses principles and
theories of science and engineering to solve technical problems.
Remediation Technicians conduct tests and field investigations to
obtain data for use by environmental and scientific personnel in
determining sources and methods of controlling pollutants in air,
water, and soil. Remediation Technicians spend a lot of their time
in the field and performs complex field sampling and O&M of
various remediation technologies. Careful and thorough notetaking
and documentation is paramount in this position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data collection.
- Data evaluation.
- Extensive electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Equipment repair and maintenance.
- Data entry.
- Field supervision of contractors.
- Sample collection (vapor, soil and water).
- Facility inspections.
- Remediation (by mechanical or manual means).
- Knowledge and adherence to QA/QC
procedures.QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- Requires a high school education or GED equivalent.
- 0-5 years experience.
- Must have solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Good analytical skills are required to solve environmental
problems.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.WORK CONDITIONS:
- Travel is likely with work occurring at remote job sites
throughout the week and may require extensive work outdoors in all
types of weather conditions.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Motor vehicle driving record that is consistent with Company
and insurance carrier standards and policies.
- Knowledge of Equipment operations required.
- Must be able to wear and provide steel toe boots.
- Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, and climb ladders for
extended periods of time.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug
test.
- Able to perform heavy lifting; minimum 50 pounds.MEDICAL
EXAMINATIONS:Depending on an individual's job duties, the Company
may require an individual to complete a medical examination.
