When you join Merrick PetCare in Hereford, TX you are not only joining a leader in natural and organic pet food, you are joining a tight knit community focused on creating the most nutritious and wholesome food for pets.As a Maintenance Buyer you will be responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels of repair parts and supplies through effective purchasing and storage programs, to keep our plants operating in a safe and efficient manner. Primary Responsibilities:

• Order stock, non-repetitive, and special parts for the maintenance department and storeroom.
• Manage the material arrival and arrange for delivery of all items.
• Process, print and review all purchase orders and expedite as required.
• Handle vendor inquiries and assist accounting in payment resolution. Utilize company preferred vendor list
• Compile maintenance management costs
• Review pertinent stock material information
• Monitor and identify potential inventory shortfalls and coordinate efforts to resolve.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED1+ years or more buying experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Must work well with others. Must possess good computer skills. Must have excellent math skills. Knowledge of Maintenance is helpful.It is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.
