Job Summary Supported by the Senior Manager, Sales, this position is responsible for the sales of all our product lines in the assigned territory. The position is the key point of contact with customers, representatives and key accounts in the Eastern region of the United States. The Territory Manager will oversee all account management initiatives and support within the Eastern US region. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve established sales growth targets for direct sales in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Sales in the actualization of regional goals and objectives.
  • Generate territory sales activity, plans trips and determines tactics to grow territory sales.
  • Lead sales of full system configurations over multiple vertical applications to new clients; sales of upgrades, additional systems, diversification opportunities to existing clients.
  • Respond to all assigned sales prospecting opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Establish customer relations, manage key accounts in territory and provide support to product questions and pre-sales technical request. Refer technical support requests (phone/email) to applications/service (post sales) and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform on-site product demonstrations; provide product consultation on-site, on-line, over the phone and using social media channels.
  • Liaise with customers and industry members to create awareness with the goal of increasing sales.
  • Oversee/support marketing efforts in assigned territory.
  • Maintain ERP/CRM database, customer contacts and account information.
  • Develop and research technical aspects of competitive products/markets.
  • Capture customer needs to guide product and service development and marketing.
  • Conduct post sales follow up and report customer satisfaction in ERP.
  • Work closely with the marketing team, in order to execute marketing campaigns, lead generation initiatives, events and product launches.
  • Provides input in the development of new products.
  • Provide periodic reports on the performance of direct sales efforts. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
    • Understanding departmental or area initiatives as defined in the operating plan and help execute said initiatives.
    • The company requires extended time customer support coverage; for territories in differing time zones, you need to do your part to ensure that extended time coverage.
    • Understand that you work in a small to medium sized business and that being a member of such an organization requires that you may from time to time have to pitch in and carry out work that is not part of your normal responsibilities; 'no task is too small and no challenge too big if everyone pitches in'.
    • Identify gaps or areas for improvement within each process.
    • Generate and document in NetSuite all sales leads and new area prospects within your territory, as well as support inbound leads from website and marketing inquiries.
    • Document any points of note with existing customers' interactions in the territory in NetSuite.
    • Create account notes and cases in NetSuite to ensure issue identification and timely follow up.
    • Enter and maintain in NetSuite database of customer contacts and account information.
    • Have a solid working knowledge of the sales funnel for new accounts, customers and quotes and use to drive day-to-day priority setting. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
      • 5 to 7 years of experience in business to business (B2B) sales.
      • Bachelor's degree in related field.
      • Proven track record of prospecting, qualifying and closing sales.
      • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
      • Exceptional communication, written and presentation skills.
      • Self-management, collaboration and organizational skills.
      • Travel required (up to 30%); must have a valid passport.
