Job Description:
At Clean Harbors, we are dedicated to upholding the highest
standards in environmental and industrial safety. We are currently
seeking a motivated Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Technician to
join our dynamic team. As an LDAR Technician, you will play a
critical role in monitoring and minimizing volatile organic
compound (VOC) emissions at various industrial sites. This position
is pivotal in helping Clean Harbors achieve its mission of
protecting the environment by ensuring the compliance of facilities
with environmental regulations. Perform routine monitoring of
components in compliance with EPA and state regulations. Identify
leaks of VOCs using specialized detection equipment. Accurately
document and report findings, ensuring detailed and precise data
entry and maintenance. Participate in repair activities by tagging
leaking components and verifying post-repair status. Maintain and
calibrate detection equipment to ensure operational reliability.
Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures on
site. Collaborate with site personnel and management to discuss and
resolve leak detection findings. Participate in environmental
audits and support compliance inspectors. Continuous learning about
new technologies and regulations related to environmental
compliance. Proficiency in using VOC detection technologies such as
TVA-1000, PHD-6 or similar. Strong attention to detail for accurate
data recording and report generation. Ability to understand and
interpret environmental regulations and standards. Excellent
communication skills for effective teamwork and interaction with
clients. Skills in troubleshooting and maintenance of technical
